Barcelona is a fantastic city that has something for everyone. Autumn is a perfect time to visit as there is less heat and fewer tourists making it an ideal time to explore this cosmopolitan city.

Choose between strolling down Las Ramblas admiring the street performers and sipping cocktails by the beach. Barcelona is a city everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. The city's biggest street party "festes de la merce" takes place on 24th September. There are numerous other sites to see in Barcelona and it is a great place to visit at Christmas time when you can take advantage of the fantastic shops and atmosphere.

Nightlife in Barcelona is very good. Barri Gotic and Las Ramblas are two areas with buzzing nightlife. There are numerous bars, pubs and clubs in the Gothic area including a funky restaurant/bar/club called Rita Blue. There are a huge variety of bars, wine bars and late bars in Barcelona. Late bars are not clubs but are still very lively after hours.

Because Barcelona is next to the sea the city has a relatively mild temperature. However in the height of summer it can still get hot and humid. Temperatures can reach 30 degrees celcius. Luckily there is not much rain in Barcelona and so Spring and Autum are nice times of year to visit when the temperature drops a little.
